July 17, 2008. Workshop Announcement: tenative GloCal Japan to discuss GloCal team contributions to international teaming/ worldwide supply management.

AGLOCALP(Academy of Glocal Processes) is pleased to announce a workshop for International Investment and Materials tentatively scheduled for November in Tokyo. Since its inception, as the first non-profit organization in Japan by a foreign entity, AGLOCALP has sought to explore the profit/non-profit interplay between industry and academia. Our workshop will aim to bring together investors from Greece, Japan and the United States to explore a broad range of topics from Energy, Venture Capital Investment and sustainability.

What is AGLOCALP?

AGLOCALP, the Academy of Glocal Processes, a Japanese nonprofit organization was based in Tokyo since August 2006. We established AGLOCALP to enable cross-cultural learning experience with advanced technology. Over the years AGLOCALP, in coordination with its sister organizations GloCal Network Corporation, GIVE, BEDR, F.R.E.E.D.O.M., Archimedes Center of Innovation of Creation(ARCHIMEDES) and others have worked with sponsors to program workshops, promote research and fund scholars in the fields of Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, Operational Management, Entrepreneurship and Education.

We encourage experiential learning for all those who participate, through our visiting scientist exchange programs, our Sustainability Workshops, and through the development of research initiatives with internationally recognized research institutions. AGLOCALP seeks to sustain and develop research within the fields of aerospace, sustainability, and chemical engineering with an eye to the future. Our future workshop, focusing on Green Materials in Aerospace, is one such example of AGLOCALP exploring education and innovation.

Mission

AGLOCALP aims at:
1. Giving financial support for international students.

2. Conducting research collaboration, consortium research, and building domestic and worldwide network.

3. Supporting enlightenment activities, seminar, workshop to meet with various topic.

4. Involving introduce patent or transfer technology to utilize sources.

Projects

Scholarship

Kyoko Ishiguro was research assistant and principle investigator for the Polymeric Composite Laboratory at GloCal Network Corporation. She also assisted in establishing AGLOCALP. Currently, she is a research fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Misaki Takemori was precipitant of the 2006 AGLOCALP scholarship to study in the U.S. She had opportunities to participate workshop and had summer internship by utilizing Applied Science degree. Currently, she works at Japan Aerospace Corporation.
